about
"Pages" is a contemporary quasi-programmatic jazz piece for (soprano, alto, tenor, and bari) saxophone, flute, clarinet, piano, and paper of varied size and thickness. Though the piece may seem to tell some story, it does not represent a specific narrative or have any particular meaning. I wanted to create a piece featuring the sounds of book pages flipping, paper crumpling, paper shreds rustling, poster board waving, etc. because I found the imagery interesting. Interpret it as you wish.
[Note: "Pages" is a part of the album I'm making with Josh Pan called "Two Slices of Muffin," which will hopefully be coming out soon.]
